providers have
performed sub-
optimally hardly needs
demonstration. A year
ago, in order to get a

The real advancement is that internet
service providers have come up with
flexible, cheap, pocket-friendly
packages for the majority of
Nigerians. 'Cheap' in this context
surely refers to 'cheaper than it
was a

The new packages
range in cost from
N1000 - N3500 and
although it still does
not match up with data
costs elsewhere, we
believe the ongoing
competition will make
things better in the
coming months.
MTN Nigeria
introduced three new
packages variously
priced at:
N1300 for a 250MB
bandwidth limit
N2000 for a 500MB
bandwidth limit
N3500 for a 1GB
bandwidth limit
Like I mentioned earlier, these
packages are not satisfactory yet, but
it is our hope that in the near future,
the present competition will turn the
situation to the consumer's favor.
Globacom also has the following
cheap internet plans:
N1000 for 200MB bandwidth limit
N3000 for 1GB bandwidth limit
MultiLinks has the following cheap
internet plans:
N1,000 for 10 Hours of browsing
N3,400 for 50 hours of browsing
N3,500 for Nite Plan (20GB bandwidth
limit)
Visafone Nigeria:
N3000 for 1.2GB bandwidth limit,
easily making it a pricey choice.
Airtel Nigeria still has their
competitively-priced bundle:
N3000 for 1GB bandwidth limit
However, Etisalat Nigeria hasn't
updated their website on any new
plans, despite rollout of their
massively successful EasyBlaze.
