Flytouch 3 3G-Enabled Version Review

It becomes inevitable for
designers and manufacturers
to concentrate more on
Flytouch series and enrich
their functionalities due to
the continuing demand. So it
is a natural step to bring an
integrated 3G module to
Flytouch 3 though some may
deem that they can do
without a packed-in 3G stuff
since Flytouch series all sport well external 3G. Well, do not
underestimate the temptation of voice call on a 3G-enable tablet
PC.
Now here comes a Flytouch 3 with internal 3G module. It looks
almost the same as Wifi-only version, but under scrutiny, we
can find there is one difference in port. The RJ45 port located in
the bumped part on Wifi-only model is replaced by a SIM card
slot on this 3G-enabled version. For those who prefer Ethernet
connectivity, this may not be a pleasant alteration. Other ports
go the same, two microSD card slot, USB 2.0 and HDMI output.
Inserting a 3G net card into Flytouch 3 and switching it on, we
can barely see any changes in UI and apps menu except for a
more splendid background wall paper. But two icons with 3G
and G respectively on the status bar set this 3G-enable version
apart with Wifi-only models.

There is a Phone app among the apps menu. Tap it and enter
into the call-making interface. Type in a telephone number and
we are put through every time with no bug. Press the Menu
button and we can proceed to other operations, like to end call
or to add call, etc.

But I do come across a problem when I mean to browse the
webpage and test the loading speed. I find myself unable to
open any page after several patient restarts and trials. It
confounds me much that this tablet PC sports good phone calls
capability but offers no internet connection. Surely, there is no
problem for me to get it connected with Wifi. This is just a
prototype and we can expect this issue can be solved on a final
model.
