Gateway Laptop won't boot up Recovery CD - PROBLEM SOLUTION

CALL OUR OFFICE +2347030722911
As a computer user i have had some issues concerning my laptop no being able to boot-up to start menu. i have used different laptops and had different problems but here is a system problem i found in one of my laptops and also got the solution to the problem. this might help you in one way or the other.

HERE IS THE PROBLEM I ENCOUNTERED
I have a gateway laptop that recently randomly turned off and when turned back on, the laptop would start up through the gateway boot screen, then have a black screen with a white blinking cursor. Then it would display a message saying "A disc read error occured. Press CTR+ALT+DEL to restart."

After doing this It would just loop around and do the exact same thing.
So I took it in to geek squad and they told me to order a recovery disc set from Gateway.

I did that, and now when I insert the System disc (which is said to insert FIRST) it will go past the Gateway boot screen, then itll bring up the windows boot screen, then after about 20 minutes, it'll go to a black screen
with a weird larger resolution looking mouse pointer icon, and sit there for 10+ hours...
I'm in dire need of help.

My boot order has the DVD-RW drive as going first.

HERE IS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM
In the System Recovery Options dialog box, select the appropriate keyboard layout, and then click Next.

In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click the down arrow to select a user account that has Administrator rights, then click OK.

Note: The Administrator account is disabled by default.

In the System Recovery Options window, select Recovery Manager.

In the Gateway Recovery Center window, click Next.

In the Gateway system recovery window, select Full factory recovery.

In the All data will be lost window, select Yes, and then click Next.

The Windows partition is formatted and Windows is installed.

In the Recovery is complete window, click Finish.
In the System Recovery Options window, select Restart.
The computer restarts.
Windows prepares to start for the first time. This may take a few minutes.
